Carol Kirkwood was back on Wednesday’s BBC Breakfast to deliver the latest weather forecast.
Carol Kirkwood interrupted her weather forecast on Wednesday’s BBC Breakfast as a producer was forced to step in. Moments into her first weather report of the day, Carol seemed to have forgotten the remote she needed to change the pictures behind her.
As Jon Kay and Sarah Campbell passed over to their co-star, Carol began: “Good morning, both. Have you noticed it is still quite cold where we are this morning, but temperatures are actually going to rise.”
“Really?” Jon quizzed. “We have been waiting, Carol, all week.”
Carol laughed before reassuring: “Well, they are definitely going to rise within the next couple of days.”
As the BBC Breakfast star started her forecast, she could be seen nodding to a producer, who was out of shot. Carol continued to talk before telling viewers: “Excuse me just a second while I pick this up.”

A producer then stepped into the camera shot to hand Carol the remote so she could change the pictures behind her as she spoke. She then proceeded to carry on with her segment as usual.
Although this isn’t the only mishap Carol has experienced this week, during yesterday’s programme, she was forced to issue an apology.
Carol apologised to her co-star, Sarah, after accidentally calling her Sally. Usually, Sally Nugent fronts BBC Breakfast between Monday and Wednesday with Jon, but due to half term, Sally has been replaced by Sarah.
“It’s Thursday that we’ll all be in that milder air, Jon and Sal,” Carol said before realising her mistake.

However, while the presenters laughed about Carol’s blunder, the show took an unexpected turn as the camera suddenly cut to another star hosting the BBC London Breakfast news at a desk.
The presenter seemed to be aware she was now on camera as she awkwardly looked into the lens while Jon and Sarah could still be heard in the background.
Sarah could be heard saying, “I didn’t hear what she said!” while Jon added, “Shh, don’t tell her, don’t tell her.”
The camera then returned to the studio with Jon and Sarah sitting on the sofa as the host jokingly said to Carol: “Thanks, Helen!”
