Stacey Solomon’s latest assignment on Sort Your Life Out saw her overcome with emotion as she helped a young mum with incurable breast cancer.
Stacey Solomon was forced to walk off camera after finding herself sobbing uncontrollably as she helped a family from Leeds get organised on her show Sort Your Life Out.
The mum of five was helping Ben and Lynda Brearly-Baird and their five-year-old daughter Charlotte overhaul their extremely cluttered home, including a garage which was stuffed floor to ceiling with items.
Their posessions, which were brought to the warehouse to sort, included a massive 53 tool boxes, 239 scarves and 619 pieces of wood.
Poignantly mum, Lynda, revealed early on in the show she has been diagnosed with incurable breast cancer and that she wanted to declutter in order to make a positive change for her family.
As they sorted through their posessions Lynda showed Stacey a memory box she was making for Charlotte as she knew she wouldn’t be there for her daughter as she got older leaving the show host incredibly affected by the gesture.

“I’ve actually started one myself for unfortunately, ever since (I realised) at some point I won’t be here anymore,” Lynda said. “So this is a box I bought before and then I’ve just been (adding to it).”
“I’ve also got a notebook that random thoughts have come into my head that I’d probably say to her when she’s a teenager, when she’s a bit older, and things like that… My aim is to do something for her wedding day…or if she ever has children, if I was there, this is what I’d be thinking to you,” she said as Stacey became emotional.
“The worst fear for me was when I was first found out, Charlotte was still quite young, is that she won’t remember me. I want her to remember me,” she said tearfully. Stacey comforted her telling her: “There’s something so beautiful and positive about what you’re doing here.”
Following the interaction Stacey did a piece to camera visibly crying. “I’ve never gone through a section where somebody is aware that there’ll be memories they’re going to miss. I don’t want to get upset becuse I feel like really that’s not my job, like I’m here to help this family, and it’s not happening to me, it’s happening to them,” she said as she became overcome burying her head in her hands.
“Sorry, it’s not about me. I’m sorry,” she cried. “I’m just finding it really difficult. Charlotte’s the same age as my little boy. I just think, oh, god,” she wept. “There’s nothing worse is there. I’m so sorry,” she cried as she moved out of shot to compose herself.

Stacey wasn’t alone in her reaction as viewers admitted they were also in tears watching. “#Sortyourlifeout Oh Stacey, I was holding it together until you went. Such a lovely gift to give this family in an just unimaginably horrible situation,” one commented on X
“@StaceySolomon Just cried with you. What a beautiful family & omg little Charlotte is adorable; she’s a very kind special lady. I’m in bits already. Life is so cruel. Time is a gift #sortyourlifeout,” another wrote. A third chimed in: “Now this is hard making a memory box. Life can be so unfair #sortyourlifeout.”
“Oh, Stacey got so emotional. She’s so empathetic. This family’s story is so sad because they’re such a lovely couple and the daughter is a little star. #SortYourLifeOut,” a fourth opined.
A fifth observed: “Oh blooming heck this episode’s got me a mess. My Mum got diagnosed when I was 38 & mercifully is absolutely fine now. The notebook for her little girl has broken me #sortyourlifeout.”
Meanwhile a sixth said:”Doing a memory box for her daughter just incase she doesn’t see her grow up = wow sad #sortyourlifeout.”
