A spokesperson said: “Bernard Hill was remembered in our TV Awards ceremony In Memoriam last year. We will pay tribute to those from the television industry who have sadly died during the past year in our TV Awards ceremony in May.”
It comes after a social media user suggested famed actor Bernard Hill was also missing from the tribute. However, the academy paid tribute to the actor at the BAFTA Awards last year.

Brian sadly died in February this year aged 92 and was best known for his roles in the Last Summer of Wine and sitcom George and Mildred.
