Kelsey Parker has opened up about the moment she shared her pregnancy with her late husband’s mum. The TV star announced that she is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Will Lindsay, 27.
But despite the joy at her happy news, Kelsey revealed that parts of it felt bittersweet. She and her ex husband Tom Parker, of The Wanted, had often talked about having four children. Tragically, Tom, of Bolton, died of a brain tumour in March 2022.
The loss left Kelsey with their two children, Aurelia aged five, and four-year-old Bodhi, the Mirror reports.
She said: “Tom and I always said we wanted four – but life had other plans. So yes, this is amazing but also bittersweet.
“The joys of finding out I’m pregnant and moving forward with my life, while thinking, ‘My life could have been so different…’ I’ve felt every emotion under the sun. I’m still getting my head around it but I’m so excited.”
But while she is excited for her pregnancy, she admitted that it was a difficult moment telling her late husband’s family. “Tom’s mum Noreen is just amazing,” she said.

“She gave me her blessing instantly, she can’t wait to have another grandchild. All I care about is that both our families and Tom’s family are happy.”
Kelsey opened up about her close bond with her mother-in-law, saying: “Noreen is the most amazing lady. After Tom passed, she said to me, ‘As long as you’re happy Kels, whatever you do, we will always support you and be happy for you.’
“We’ve all been through so much together. But I’m here and bringing another baby into the world.”
Kelsey’s partner Will opened up about how Tom continues to be a presence in her life. He said: “Tom was a massive part of Kelsey’s life – they were together for over 13 years, and had two beautiful children. So it’s normal to talk about him a lot. I think it would be weird if we didn’t.
“Will once said he never wants me to not talk about Tom. He talks about him and loves hearing stories about him. There’s a massive picture of Tom upstairs. He walked past it once, smiled at me and went, ‘Oh, he’s handsome though, isn’t he?!”

Kelsey opened up to Ranvir Singh in an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine last November where she shared that Tom’s parents, Noreen and Nigel, had been understanding and supportive of her decision to move on with tree surgeon Will.

She said: “I’ve got such an amazing village and even with Tom’s parents Noreen and Nigel, they have supported me with whatever I’ve decided to do and they understand how hard it is.”
Kelsey continued: “For us at home, Tom is so alive in our house and we speak to him everyday. For my children, they are still babies and they are still processing it everyday so these conversations are never going to go away and we are still dealing with the conversation.”
