On Saturday night, ITV viewers learnt who had won the singing competition after weeks of speculation.
The Masked Singer UK viewers were less than impressed on Saturday night after learning who had won the competition.
After weeks of taking to the stage and impressing both the panel and viewers at home, it came down to three contestants.
Throughout the final, fans saw Wolf, Pufferfish and Dressed Crab take to the stage in one last bid to win the show. Finishing in third place was Wolf who was unmasked to be Marti Pellow.
This left it between Dressed Crab and Pufferfish, with host Joel Dommett announcing Pufferdish as the winner of the series. As singer Gregory Porter was unmasked as the runner-up, viewers discovered the champion was none other than Samantha Barks.
However, ITV viewers were unimpressed with the outcome, with many saying Gregory was robbed of the victory.

One person said: “Sorry, but now I really feel Gregory Porter was robbed.” Another commented: “@GregoryPorter was robbed! Should’ve won #themaskedsingeruk.”
Someone else reeled: “They robbed you Dressed Crab.” With another adding: “Gutted … wanted Dressed Crab to win.”
Although there were some who were thrilled with Samantha winning the show. One viewer said: “@SamanthaBarks you were amazing on Masked Singer, your voice truly is so beautiful and incredible. You smashed it and rightly deserved the win.”

Although he finished in second place, Gregory had nothing but praise for the show. When speaking to host Joel Dommett, he said: “This is amazing, this is wild.
“I’m not going to lie. I had to get over a little bit of claustrophobia, you know, who needs oxygen? Who needs oxygen?!”
Detailing his time on the programme, Gregory added: “This is extraordinary, this is a real moment for me. It’s fun, sometimes I’m singing all those serious songs but this was fun, this was just real fun!”

Meanwhile, Samantha was thrilled to be crowned the winner of this years series, with the majority of the panel guessing correctly.
Speaking about her performances throughout the competition, Samantha said: “For me, because I’ve played Elsa (on the West End) for three years, it’s been so fun to just do lots of different stuff!
“Every week, I’ve wanted to do a new kind of style, a new kind of song, and that was really fun. Also, I feel like I’ve lived this double life, I’ve had this crazy experience but nobody in my life knows this! So I love it! It’s so secretive.”
