BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell was flooded with support as the performer shared that she was facing a heartbreaking loss.

Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer, Dianne Buswell, has been supported by her co-stars and fans after sharing a tragic loss. The BBC star, who won the competition in the last series alongside comedian Chris McCausland, posted to her Instagram account to share an emotional message announcing the death of her nan.
The 35-year-old star shared a collection of clips of her enjoying some time with her elderly relative, shining light on some of their happier times, as she explained the heartbreak that she was currently facing. Captioning the post, Dianne wrote: “Rest in peace nan. Love you very much [red heart emoji].

“I’m so grateful I was home to say goodbye to such a special lady in my life. [red heart emoji] Now go be with pop, he has been patiently waiting for you.”
Over on her Instagram Stories, Dianne also shared another clip, before posting an image of her late nan’s arm holding some rosemary beads in her hand. The image showed Dianne’s hand holding on to her arm as she captioned it with a loveheart and a dove emoji.
Another post shared a picture of all of the Australian dancer’s family together, as she added the song Better Together by Jack Johnson.
Strictly co-stars rushed to support Dianne, with messages of love and sympathy. Claudia Winkleman, who also hosts BBC’s Traitors, wrote: “Sending so much love xxx.”
Contestant Tasha Ghouri said: “Sending so much love to you xx,” while It Takes Two host Janette Manrara posted: “Sending all my love Di.” Meanwhile fellow dancer Vito Coppola commented with some red loveheart emojis.
Fans also added well wishes, with one writing: “Glad you are surrounded by family during this time and you were there for her.” One more said: “I’m so sorry Dianne, sending you and all your family so so much love.”
Someone else penned: “Oh sweetheart, I’m so very sorry to read this but I’m glad you were home to see her one last time and for her to see you too. She was so so proud of you – sending hugs, love & lots of support to you & your family, thinking of you all xxx”.
