Loose Women presenter Ruth Langsford has finally addressed singlehood in her first interview since separating from Eamonn Holmes in May 2023.

Ruth Langsford has opened up about being single ahead of her 65th birthday, as she stunned in new photos in her first interview since splitting from her estranged husband, Eamonn Holmes.

The famed broadcasting duo shocked the nation as they announced their break-up in May 2023 with a joint statement. After 27 years together, a spokesperson confirmed: “Their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”

Since their separation, Eamonn has been photographed looking smitten with his new girlfriend, Katie Alexander, while Ruth has thrown subtle jibes at her ex.

Addressing their split for the first time, the Loose Women star, 64, has spoken out about navigating divorce. In a new interview with Woman and Home magazine, Ruth stated: “I’ve chosen to pick myself up and get on with life.

“Relationship breakdowns are very difficult – marriage, friendship, whatever it is – but you just deal with it, and you have to move on. You can either let yourself crumble or you pick yourself up and get on with life. It’s a choice.”

Although Ruth is seemingly looking forward to the future, she revealed that the divorce has impacted her health. She explained: “I have lost weight. Divorce obviously has something to do with it but I also went for a hormone check and rebalance, which helped.

“It could also hopefully mean that I’m coming to the end of menopause.” Ruth previously told the publication about her hopes for the future that of their 22-year-old son.

She gushed: “Happiness. Happiness for my son, Jack. When you have children, you look at them starting out in life and just want everything to be good for them, for them to be happy and to not have their hearts broken.”

Ruth looked radiant in the glamorous photoshoot and was a vision as she posed in a pink and white houndstooth-patterned coat and matching trousers, which she paired with a sleek white shirt and bright pink pointed heels.

The mum-of-one showed off her new-found confidence and was all smiles in a stunning black off-the-shoulder jumpsuit, which boasted a sheer black cape.

In another snap, the TV host channelled fierceness as she smized for the camera in a pink double-breasted blazer dress while donning a muted pink lip look.
