Rob Rinder has set the record straight on his ‘love’ for fellow TV star Rylan Clark as fans continue to love them as a partnership.
Back in November, Rob and Rylan returned from their latest trip together. The pair headed off on an epic adventure to India in October as they filmed their next BBC2 show, which comes after the pair were seen first joining forces earlier this year for Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour – leading to fans calling for more.
Their first three-part series saw them take viewers along to some of Italy’s greatest art treasures in destinations such as Venice, Florence and Rome as they followed in the footsteps of 19th-century romantic poet Lord Byron and other Grand Tourists.
But while they were away for their first series, Rob decided to pull a bit of a prank on his co-star by telling the whole Twittersphere that they had gotten engaged. Criminal barrister-turned-TV star Rob took to Twitter with a gorgeous snap showing the two stars standing in what appeared to be the Italian countryside.
The views spread for miles while Rylan and Rob stood facing each other under the bright sun beating down on them, both while sporting crisp white shirts and trousers. “Elton’s set at Glastonbury has inspired us to tie the knot. I [heart] @Rylan,” Rob typed alongside the snap on Twitter as fans rushed to share their congratulations with some believing the nuptials to be true.

However, those wanting it to be real, were sadly disappointed as Rylan, 34, himself replied and confirmed: “Fake news he’s had a wine.” Rylan later revealed that once home, he had to clarify to a stranger that he and Rob were not tying the knot after they congratulated him in the street.
But fans have continued to share love for the pair as a partnership while Rylan and Rob are often asked about each other in various interviews they take on.
On Wednesday (February 12), Rob appeared on Loose Women and was asked about his next series with Rylan and couldn’t help but share his affection for his friend. He told the panel, headed by Christine Lampard: “We’ve been in India together, just to be clear, I’m in platonic love with him, I love you Rylan!”
He then went on to share of the BBC Radio 2 star: “It’s all about authenticity, he’s one of the most intelligent people I’ve ever met!”
