MICHELLE Keegan’s mum Jackie has broken her silence on her daughter’s baby with Mark Wright, marking the first time she becomes a grandma.
The Brassic star, 37, welcomed her first child with husband Mark on March 6, later posting a touching black-and-white photo showing their newborn daughter for the first time.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Monday, she re-shared a touching quote that highlighted the simple joy of receiving a hug from a granddaughter.
The message read: “Happiness is when your granddaughter comes up to you and gives you a big hug ‘just because.’”
In addition to Michelle, Jackie has a son, Andrew, from her previous marriage to Michael Keegan, whom she divorced when Michelle was nine years old.
Jackie is said to be absolutely delighted by the birth of her first grandchild and has been a constant source of support for Michelle.
A previously source told The Mirror: “Jackie is over the moon to be a grandma. Palma is her first grandchild, and she is besotted, as are the whole family. She’s so proud of Michelle.”
Since the baby’s arrival, she has been a frequent visitor to Michelle and Mark’s home in Essex, offering her help and support.
The couple’s £3.5million mansion includes a designer granny annex, allowing their parents to stay comfortably and assist whenever needed.
The 60 sq ft space – larger than the average London flat – serves as a private space for family members during visits.
Just this week, Mark fought back tears while heaping praise on his wife for welcoming baby Palma.
In his second show since becoming a dad, he told Heart FM listeners about the experience, saying it was his “biggest achievement”.
“Mate, it’s actually hard to put into words,” he told co-host Olly Murs as he got emotional.
“It’s the biggest achievement of my life it’s all I think about but obviously hats go off to my wife she is an absolute super human, a superhero for bringing this baby into the world.”
Mark added: “It makes you realise what our mums did for us and makes me have so much more respect than I already had and what women had to go through.
“It’s the best feeling in the world. I wake up every morning just so excited to see her face.”
Mark also spoke about the first time he got to hold his daughter.
“That moment when I held her in my arms, it gets me emotional now thinking about it,” he said.
The radio star also addressed the couple’s decision to focus on their careers before having children after tying the knot in 2015.
“It’s a very special feeling. I can’t really put it into words. We’ve waited a little bit of time, we’ve chased our dreams and our careers and now we’re here. We’ve got a baby,” he said.
The doting dad also revealed he missed his daughter so much, even when he’s only away a few hours for work.
“I am in the studio now I miss her badly now but in a couple hours I will be home to her. I’m about to FaceTime the little one now to see how she is,” he said.
The couple announced the arrival of Palma Elizabeth with a touching photo of her in a lace dress and bonnet.
Michelle and Mark posted on Instagram: “Together we have a new love to share – our little girl.”
The couple have recently spent lots of time loved-up at their property near the Majorcan capital which also played host to their pregnancy photo shoot.
A pal told The Sub: “Palma holds a special place in Michelle and Mark’s hearts. They spent time there when no one knew she was expecting.
“The picture they took of them confirming the pregnancy was taken in Majorca too.”
The Our Girl actress gave birth at London’s Portland Hospital, which the same hospital where Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, and Spice Girl Victoria Beckham also had their babies.
