TONY HADLEY is an English pop singer known for being a member of Spandau Ballet. He resides in a small picturesque town, just outside of Oxford.
Tony Hadley, 62, rose to fame in the 1980s as the lead singer of Spandau Ballet. The band were known for hits such as True, Gold and Through the Barricades. The singer launched a solo career following the group’s split in 1990 before rejoining the band in 2009 and leaving again in 2017. Tony resides just outside of Thame, a market town and civil parish in Oxfordshire.Thame lies around 12 miles east of the city of Oxford and 10 miles from Aylesbury.
It derives its name from the River Thame which flowers along the north side of the town and forms part of the county border with Buckinghamshire.
Situated at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, Thame is a thriving market town with plenty of shops and restaurants.
Like many traditional market towns, the town grew from Anglo-Saxon roots but has since developed whilst preserving the history.

There are great amenities in the larger towns nearby as well as plenty of walking opportunities, with the Chiltern Hills right on the doorstep.
Tony said in a podcast: “Moving here is the best thing I ever did. The people are lovely, everyone is really friendly, it’s almost like going back in time. There is a real sense of community.
“There are smashing pubs and great restaurants and I sincerely hope that everyone working in those industries comes out the other side of the pandemic with their business intact.
“The schools are brilliant and I love visiting Aylesbury – some real thought has gone into the redevelopment there which is great to see.
“My wife Ali was dreading it when we moved here because she thought after six months, it’d be saying we need to move back to London.
“She was waiting for that day but that day has never come and it never will. There’s a sense of freedom here which you just don’t get in London.”
