Mark Wright and Olly Murs have shared some major news after Mark’s shared home with Michelle Keegan was targeted by criminals on Tuesday.

Olly Murs has joined Heart to host a brand new Saturday Breakfast show alongside Mark Wright on radio station Heart, kicking off on Saturday March 1. Heart – the home of 13.3 million weekly listeners – has confirmed its refreshed new schedule today, with singer, songwriter and presenter Olly Murs hosting a brand new weekend breakfast show alongside his good friend Mark Wright every Saturday from 9am – 12pm.

The duo released statements about the exciting news, with Olly sharing: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be sharing my Saturday mornings with Wrighty and the Heart listeners. They’ve actually given us our own radio show – can you believe it?! We have such a laugh off air, so I know we’ll have a great time doing this together. Expect plenty of banter, big entertainment, and obviously a bit of healthy competition. Can’t wait!!”

Meanwhile, Mark enthused: “It’s not every day that you get to work with your mate, and I just can’t wait for Olly to join Heart. I just know our listeners are going to love listening to Olly every Saturday morning, and we promise to bring you all the good laughs, fun and banter!”

Mark’s career update comes after he and Michelle – who is pregnant with their first child – experienced a terrifying break in. The couple was forced to lock themselves in their bedroom when their Essex mansion was targeted by masked raiders.

Michelle and Mark are said to have heard their porch window smash before their alarm system went off at their lavish pad on Tuesday evening. It has been reported four suspects were in the home for close to a minute before making a quick escape when they heard Mark shouting – as he scared off intruders without leaving pregnant Michelle’s side.

Authorities were then alerted via the couple’s security system. Michelle and Mark were thankfully not hurt, and nothing was stolen from their £3.5 million mansion, but they were reportedly “very shaken up” by the incident – which saw the suspects fleeing in a getaway car.

An Essex Police spokesman stated yesterday its investigation into the burglary was continuing. He explained: “It was reported four suspects had forced entry to an address, carrying out a search of the property before fleeing. Within eight minutes, our officers were on the scene. We are continuing to support and safeguard the victims and are conducting high-visibility patrols in the area.

“We are exploring a number of lines of inquiry including but not limited to forensic opportunities, CCTV and witness statements. Anyone with information should contact us as soon as possible.” The Mirror have reached out to their reps for comment.
