BBC Breakfast viewers took to social media to highlight some “tension” on the set as Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt hosted the Good Friday edition. As Naga and Charlie hosted a number of different reports, including interviewing the voice behind Bluey and a segment on marbles, viewers took to social media to comment on how fed up the pair seemed.

One said: “Charlie has had a belly full of this marbles segment. Bet he can’t wait till 9.30.” Another added: “Charlie looks absolutely shattered,” as another replied: “He looks fed up.” A third caught a look Naga was giving Charlie as he spoke, as they said: “As ever Naga looking impressed with Charlie’s mansplaining of the trivial news item slot.”

The viewer comments come after Naga was spotted leaving the BBC studios in London on Thursday along with Charlie.

Naga, seen wearing a large black coat and a white scarf, looked stony-faced as she kept her distance from Charlie before jumping into the passenger side of a dark Audi.

The presenter is said to no longer on speaking terms with BBC boss Richard Frediani after communication broke down between the pair.

A source tole The Times: “”Fredi has no relationship with Charlie and Naga, which is weird when they are half of his frontline presenting roster.

“It appears he doesn’t like them and they don’t like him — for whatever reason, they don’t talk to each other.”
