EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick has finally addressed those romance rumours with his Strictly Come Dancing co-star Tasha Ghouri, after her split from Andrew Le Page.

EastEnders sensation and Strictly Come Dancing favourite Jamie Borthwick has finally addressed the whirlwind of whispers claiming he’s romantically involved with dance show competitor Tasha Ghouri.

The duo, who co-starred on the latest series of the beloved BBC dance extravaganza, found themselves at the centre of gossip following Tasha’s well-publicised breakup from her Love Island flame Andrew Le Page.

Tasha, a runner-up on Strictly, had previously parted ways with Andrew after a romance lasting over two years. The split came despite their former declarations of an eventual walk down the aisle, with vows to “marry each other one day”.

Now, in a candid revelation to the Mirror, Jamie dispelled all rumours by stating plainly, “Tasha is my sister.”

Speaking with us amidst the glamour of The TV Choice Awards 2025 at The London Hilton on Park Lane, Jamie couldn’t help but chuckle at the conjecture, confessing, “I laugh. We both laugh. You guys have provided us with entertainment. Tasha is my sister.”, reports the Mirror.

Quizzed on whether Tasha is firmly placed in the “the sibling zone”, Jamie affirmed without hesitation: “Yes! We’re like siblings.”

Gossip about their budding intimacy caught fire after the two were seen together en route to their accommodations post-Strictly Live tour rehearsals, which kicked off in January.

A trusted informant disclosed that Tasha, once “madly in love with Andrew” whom she encountered during the 2022 run of Love Island, witnessed her relationship faltering soon after her involvement with Strictly commenced.

“She gave her all in that competition,” an insider revealed to The Sun. “Her focus was purely on her dances with Aljaz and that drove a wedge between them as time went by. Now she’s going off on tour she’s going to be away from Andrew again. They talked about ending their relationship at the start of January and she’s pretty much heading out on the Strictly tour as a single woman.”

Before Tasha’s Strictly journey with pro Aljaz Skorjanec, the couple appeared to be going strong. The former lovebirds were proud parents to their dog Luna, sported matching rose tattoos, and even purchased a house together at the beginning of 2024.

In December, when asked if a proposal might be on the cards, Tasha told OK! Magazine: “That’s a question for Andrew! But of course, there is no one else for me and Andrew is who I want to spend the rest of my life with.”

After the breakup, it’s reported that Tasha created a profile on the celebrity dating app Raya, featuring photos she had previously posted on her public Instagram account.
