The Masked Singer fans took to social media in droves to complain about the judges.

The Masked Singer returned to ITV for the final episode of its fifth series and the unveiling of its final three unidentified contestants.

Although many were gripped by the guessing game format, others were left distracted by the judges and took to social media with complaints.

While comedian Mo Gilligan was missing from the panel, he was replaced by I’m A Celeb winner and McFly star Danny Jones, who was seated alongside Davina McCall, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross.

Taking to X, one complained about the panellist dancing during the performance and stated: “They just keep taking the attention away from the singer by hogging the camera. Can we glue them to the seats next time?”

As another hit out at their guesses and slammed: “How do those judges not know who it is when the rest of the world does.”

A third viewer added: “It’s not about the judges! It’s embarrassing to watch them preen for the cameras. It just ruins the show at this point.”

One questioned: “Do these judges actually listen to the clues??! #RandomGuesses #themaskedsingeruk #TheMaskedSinger.”

As another viewer hit out at the panellist’s camera time and posted: “Why can’t the judges just sit and listen? Why do they always have to make it about them? #TheMaskedSingerUK.”

A viewer hit out: “I’m switching off!”

Despite the backlash, the show came to a triumphant end as Dressed Crab, Pufferfish and Wolf landed in the final three and were finally unveiled.

After battling it out for the top spot, Wolf was voted off in third place and was identified as Marti Pellow from the 80s rock band Wet Wet Wet, a band best known for their songs such as Love Is All Around and Angel Eyes.

He told host Joel Dommett, “I had a fantastic time. It’s been an incredible experience for me,” and then, after Davina’s request, he performed, Love Is All Around.

Dressed Crab bagged the second spot and after weeks of guessing Gregory Porter, the judges were proven right as the Grammy-winning singer revealed himself to the audience.

Pufferfish was crowned the 2025 winner of The Masked Singer and was unveiled as West End icon Samantha Barks, who is known for her stage roles in Frozen, City of Angels and Les Misérables.
