Celebrity Big Brother stars JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes have reportedly ruffled feathers among their fellow contestants with their recent behaviour. The duo, who are part of the ITV1 reality series, have sparked speculation among viewers that a close connection is forming between them.

In Monday evening’s episode, JoJo and Chris were caught on camera secretly communicating via hand-written messages, leaving fans eager to decipher their silent exchange. While some viewers speculated that the pair might be exchanging romantic notes, others suggested the covert communication concerned another housemate, Ella.

But now, it seems JoJo and Chris may have inadvertently revealed the content of their clandestine messages after facing consequences for breaking the rules.

In Tuesday night’s dramatic scenes, Big Brother will assemble the Housemates in the living room to address a violation of the house rules. “This is Big Brother. Before you entered the house, the rules regarding attempting to communicate in code or write messages were clearly explained to you,” Big Brother will announce.

“Today, that rule was broken. At 1:59am in the bedroom, JoJo wrote messages on Chris’ hand in secret. Chris gave JoJo his hand and said, ‘you can write it out’. JoJo then wrote on Chris’ hand and said ‘It makes sense, think about it’.”, reports the Mirror.

Big Brother instructed Chris and JoJo to rise, with JoJo asserting: “I solemnly swear, put my hand on a bible, it had nothing to do with nominations.”

Big Brother then declared: “Chris, JoJo, you have broken a fundamental rule of the Big Brother house and you will be punished. You have communicated in secret so from now on your conversations will be anything but… JoJo, Chris, until further notice you are only permitted to speak through a megaphone for all to hear.”

Despite this, Chris and JoJo appeared unfazed, much to the annoyance of their fellow housemates. Ella commented: “I told you they’ve been having secret conversations,” as she discussed the situation in the bedroom.

“But that’s not a punishment, that’s a punishment for us. They’re laughing because they’re annoying us,” Daley chimed in, while Angelica observed: “Big Brother likes to put a cat amongst the pigeons.”

“A cat amongst the pigeons? That’s two massively loud hyenas amongst a flock of doves,” Danny retorted, with Daley adding: “You know it’s part of the plan. Every time they get a punishment and all that, they get the airtime.”

Since entering the house, JoJo and Chris have become close friends, often seen cuddling in bed with Chris stroking JoJo’s back. This has led to fans of the show targeting JoJo’s partner Kath with cruel and taunting messages on social media.

However, some fans have maintained that their relationship is purely platonic. One fan posted: “Why can’t people see Chris and jojo are platonic , people really do try to see the sex in everything #CBBUK,” while another concurred: “before people get weird people that are friends like chris and jojo are allowed to have platonic intimacy and it doesn’t need to be s/xual or even romantic #CBBUK.”
