Holly Willoughby eyes £10m deals with BBC and Netflix as ITV considers dropping Dancing On Ice

TV presenter Holly Willoughby is reportedly eyeing up a number of big money deals worth £10million as she seemingly distances herself from ITV.

The former This Morning presenter, who stepped back from ITV series You Bet! over the weekend, is said to be set to sign some lucrative deals with streaming platforms and the BBC.

There’s talk of the mum-of-three, 44, becoming the new Cilla Black on the Beeb with a reboot of the late Scouse star’s best-known show Blind Date in the works as a big-budget revival for the state funded broadcaster. Holly is also reportedly ready to sign up for a second series of Netflix’s star-studded reality competition Celebrity Bear Hunt.

Discussing Holly’s next career step paralleling Cilla’s, an insider explained how both women are seen as “two of the biggest stars of modern telly”. “It’s not pure coincidence either that when ITV decided to reboot Surprise, Surprise — another show made famous by Cilla — it was girl-next-door Holly they turned to,” they mused. “So the prospect of her fronting a reboot of Blind Date is a very real one, and a pairing that many viewers could see as a natural fit.”

Speaking to The Sun, the source adding that emulating Cilla isn’t just about hosting reboots of the late star’s beloved shows but Holly “carving out a niche as a solo presenter with serious clout in the world of telly.” They added that with her husband Dan Baldwin by her side – one big name producer – Holly is can become part of a TV power couple.

Over the weekend, ITV confirmed Holly is unable to co-host the second series of game show You Bet! due to scheduling conflicts. The first series of the rebooted entertainment show, hosted by former This Morning presenter Willoughby, 44, and Stephen Mulhern, aired in December 2024.

An ITV spokesperson said on Sunday: “Unfortunately Holly couldn’t commit to the dates to host the new series of You Bet!, but will hopefully appear as a guest panellist on one of the shows in the new series.”

The revived show, which originally aired from 1988 to 1997 with hosts including the late Sir Bruce Forsyth, features a celebrity panel who bet on whether ordinary people can succeed with an unusual challenge or skill.

In February, ITV announced that applications were open for the next series. Holly and Stephen, 47, also present ITV skating competition series Dancing On Ice and announced the series’ winners on Sunday evening.

In the noughties they presented ITV Saturday morning children’s show Ministry Of Mayhem, which was later titled Holly & Stephen’s Saturday Showdown.
