Good Morning Britain viewers immediately voiced their complaints as Adil Ray and Kate Garraway hosted the final show of the week.

Adil Ray and Kate Garraway came under fire from viewers as they presented Good Morning Britain.

The duo hosted Friday’s instalment (February 21) of the ITV programme, sharing the day’s top headlines with viewers across the country.

This included details of Raneem’s Law, which was established in memory of Raneem Oudeh and her mother Khaola Saleem, who were murdered by Raneem’s ex-husband in Solihull in August 2018.

The presenters also explored fresh tension in the Middle East, as well as the highly anticipated return of Britain’s Got Talent. But just minutes after finding out who the main presenters were, viewers flocked to social media to announce that they were switching off.

One wrote: “Why is it so difficult for GMB to source a decent male presenter? I don’t mind Ed but generally turn over when the others are on.”

Commenting on the relationship between Adil, 50, and Kate, 57, a second declared: “It’s constant one-upmanship between the two as to who can be heard more. Insufferable.”

A third penned: “Oh no Adil presenting.. have to watch BBC today.”

Others called out Kate for speaking over Adil and guests on the show, with one furious writing: “KATE!!! You just spoke over 3 other people with your eyes shut!”

Echoing this, another fumed: “And again Kate overspeaks you @adilray! Why can’t she let anyone else speak?”

A third demanded: “God Kate just shut up, she’s forever interrupting people.”

However, other viewers were delighted with Adil and Kate’s presence.

“Good morning to everyone. Have a beautiful Happy Friday to all GMB presenters, the dream team, and have a wonderful lovely great day, and have a fabulous lovely great weekend. Take care,” exclaimed one person.

“Good morning Kate and Adil,” added a second fan.

Adil recently announced some exciting career news away from his role on Good Morning Britain. The Lingo presenter is set to host his own Saturday mid-morning show on Smooth Radio, starting on March 1 and airing from 10 am to 1 pm.

Expressing his enthusiasm for joining the station permanently, Adil said: “Joining the Smooth family really feels like I am coming home. It’s no surprise that millions up and down the country are coming together to make Smooth their home too.”

He added: I cannot wait to spend Saturday mornings with you, the best time of the week! Whether you’re at work, doing housework, homework or on the road, please join me for quite simply the best music in the world!”

Adil previously appeared as a guest presenter on Smooth Radio over the Christmas and New Year periods, so he is no stranger to the station.
