Celebrities have taken to social media to show off their creative costumes for this year’s World Book Day.
Every year, social media is flooded with snaps of celebrity kids dressed as their favourite book characters, with some going down the unconventional route of choosing film and TV characters. This year is no different with dozens of kids being dressed up as beloved TV character Bluey, while one celebrity child has decided to go to school dressed as Claudia Winkleman.
This year, a string of stars have teamed up with the children’s TV show-turned book, Bluey, encouraging people to visit their local book shops in order to purchase a book for the occasion. Here, we take a look at some of the best celebrity children outfits.

Gogglebox star Izzi left social media users in fits of laughter when she shared a snap of her son Bobby, dressed as Claudia Winkleman from The Traitors. Bobby was the spitting image of the BBC One show host with his famous mother saying she was the “most convincing” lookalike she had ever seen.
“We have never laughed so much on a school morning, didn’t even have to buy any makeup turns out I’m the same shade as Claudia herself,” said Izzie. The post didn’t go unnoticed, with Gavin & Stacey’s Laura Aikman laughing: “Hahaha this is amazing.” Meanwhile, Capital FM’s Sian Welby added: “Ok, actually looks more like Claudia than Claudia does.” Claudia responded: “Amazing,” alongside a red heart emoji.
Elsewhere, Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh shared snaps of her children, Bobby, Cole and Nate. In the images, her eldest Bobby could be seen dressed as Billionaire Boy, while Cole decided to dress as J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter. Meanwhile, Nate, looked as though he had been plucked straight out of the chocolate factory as an Oompa Loopma.

Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas and his wife Caroline also left people in stitches by sharing a snaps of their daught Elsie and son Teddy dressed as Lord Farquaad and Princess Fiona from Shrek – despite being movie characters and not from a book.
Fans were left blown away, with some saying they had been “waiting” to see what Elsie and Teddy had chosen as they often “smash it” each year. Gordon Ramsay’s son, Oscar, five, was seen just hours before World Book Day, reading his favourite Bluey book in bed with his mum Tana.

Choosing to read Bluey The Doctor, little Oscar was seen in his starry pyjamas with a Bluey blanket and Bluey ears on his head as he read aloud to his famous mother. But it wasn’t just the Ramsay’s who had chosen Bluey this year, Ferne McCann also shared snaps of her children, daughter Sunday and Flinty also chose the children’s book and TV show.
In images shared online, her two children both rocked a pair of Bluey ears while reading the colourful books in Flinty’s nursery, while Ferne appeared to be dressed as Little Red Riding Hood in one upload. Ferne later shared another image of her daughter Sunday, this time, dressed as The Tiger Who Came To Tea as she celebrated the day by posing outside of their home.

But it wasn’t just children getting in on the action. Celebs including Amanda Holden and Ashley Roberts also arrived to their Heart FM shows dressed in their favourite costumes. In true Amanda style, the Britain’s Got Talent judge rocked a Little Red Riding Hood outfit, featuring a corset and tiny skirt, while Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley chose to go as the Big Bad Wolf in a short grey costume.
