Emmerdale have a big week of episodes, which kicked off with a huge limo stunt on an icy lake – with multiple deaths sealed and more heartbreak to come

Emmerdale have aired some shocking scenes already this week – with more to come.

A double limo crash in the icy forest has caused chaos for the residents of Emmerdale. The girls and Liam were left with their limo perilously balanced on the ice whilst the boys limo, with Mandy Dingle too, have been left reeling by the revelation that Caleb’s own brother Cain had slept with his wife Ruby and broken the Dingle code.

The boys are mainly unscathed but the girls are in trouble. In scenes that have already aired on the ITV soap yesterday evening, we found out that Suzy had died after hitting her head in the crash.

Charity, Chas and Liam managed to make it out ok – with Vanessa also leaving Suzy behind and safely making it across the ice. However, in a shock twist, Amy fell through the ice before coming face to face with another body in the lake – but who’s is it?

Liam Cavanagh also collapsed because of a head injury, fuelling speculation he could also die. Some of the residents are still trapped in the limo – but how will it all end for them, and is anyone going to make it out alive?

Now, Martelle Edinborough – who plays Suzy – has spoken out following the departure of her character.

Taking to Twitter, she wrote: “And just like that….Suzy is no more and a new chapter begins!! What an ep! It’s been such a blessing to have been a part of such an iconic show that I grew up on and loved by so many!! #Journeys.”

Fans rushed to pay tribute to Martelle, with one writing: “I actually thought the next ep might’ve showed that Liam had got it wrong, but obviously not! Gutted that you’ve left, Suzy was criminally underused, & I wish we were continuing her story! Onwards & upwards always, hope to see you onscreen again soon! Lotsa love to you.”

Another added: “Nooooo…. I had wanted to see you and Mary get together. All the best wishes in your new chapter.. Suzy will be missed,” whilst a third wrote: “going to miss suzy! thank you for being amazing, good luck in all you do.”

When one fan quipped she had kept her exit very quiet, with no fans convinced she would die, she replied: “Thank you so much lovely! And trust me it’s been hard! Haha I’ve known for a minute lol.”
