Loose Women’s Denise Welch was over the moon as she shared her excitement over her son’s band, The 1975, headlining Glastonbury Festival this summer.

Today, the full line-up was revealed with Matty Healy’s 1975, Charli xcx, Alanis Morissette, Biffy Clyro, Doechii, RAYE, Sir Rod Stewart, Neil Young and more headlining. As a proud mum, Denise took to her Instagram grid and stories to share her delight over the announcement.

Sharing a picture of the line-up poster, which shows Matty’s band will be performing on the Pyramid Stage on Friday, Denise wrote: “Look who’s headlining on the Friday!!! Popping out to buy some wellies.” She also captioned the same photo on her grid: “I guess I’ll be going to my first UK festival!!!”

Fans were just as excited as Denise, with one writing in the comment section: “Proud mom moment for sure!!! So exciting!!!!” Another said: “I’m having a joyful meltdown, oh my heart!!” One happy user commented: “It’s about bloody time this happened!” One posted: “They really are coming back in style.”

While many are delighted for The 1975 to take the stage, some were disappointed with the line-up announcement and took to social media to complain about the huge names set to take the stage this summer. One complained on X/Twitter: “Glastonbury have had a mare with them headliners oh my lord.”

“As usual, all the decent stuff well down the bill, but my god those headliners are shocking for the biggest festival in the country,” another disappointed fan wrote. A third added: “Worst line up ever,” another jibed: “Best thing about this is the design of it”. Meanwhile, some fans vowed to sell their tickets minuted after the line-up was announced, as one penned: “Selling x3 glastonbury 2025 tickets. Dm for more info.” Another wrote: “Selling 1 Glastonbury ticket.”

This year’s festival will be one to remember for festival-goers as bosses had previously confirmed that next year, the festival will take a rest for a fallow year. But for those who didn’t get tickets in the first two rounds of sales, there will be a resale in April. Those who purchased tickets but haven’t yet committed to paying for them will see their tickets cancelled. If you have already registered your details with Glastonbury, you will automatically be eligible to take part in the resale.

Tickets for this year stand at £373.50, with a £5 booking fee on top of this. Meanwhile, postage and packing is charged at an additional £10.25
