McFly singer Danny Jones, who has been married to his wife for 10 years, was filmed kissing Maura Higgins at a BRIT Awards afterparty.

Danny Jones’s wife Georgia reportedly won’t let his kiss with Maura Higgins “ruin their marriage”. The McFly singer, 38, has been married to the model since 2014 and they share seven-year-old Cooper together. The couple put on a loved-up display back in December after Danny was crowned King of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity.

However, their union is now being questioned after the musician was spotted kissing his I’m A Celeb co-star Maura at a wild BRIT Awards afterparty. An insider remarked that even if the interaction was innocent, it felt like a “slap in the face” for Georgia. A source added to The Mirror: “She’s been an incredible partner to him so this feels very unfair. But Georgia is a strong woman, she won’t let it ruin what they have.”

Georgia, Danny, and Maura have maintained a tight-lipped stance on their social media regarding the scandal. Meanwhile Georgia abruptly pulled out of a public Q&A last weekend.

The former Miss England previously shared an insight into her marriage with Danny, crediting strong communication and taking time apart as foundational elements of their long-standing relationship.

She told the publication: “We’ve always said that for as long as we’ve been together, we’ve enjoyed our separate times, because when we reunite it’s even nicer.

“Communication is key, as well. It’s something we had to relearn after having a baby, or you just have constant resentment at each other for not doing enough, even if you both are. In the end, it all comes together if you keep talking.”

In the wake of the scandal, Love Island star Maura, 34, flew to LA to escape the drama. She made her first Instagram post since footage of the kiss was released, revealing she was departing London for Los Angeles. She shared a snapshot from inside the plane, captioning it: “Exciting shoot,” followed by a plane emoji.

It was reported that Danny’s actions have been a “slap in the face for Georgia”, who has put her own career on hold to support his. During his time in the jungle, she was seen breaking down in tears as she struggled with moving house, parenting alone and working.

The pair’s romance sparked in 2009, with Danny popping the question during a sun-soaked holiday in Cyprus four years later. The pair subsequently exchanged vows in a stunning ceremony in Georgia’s hometown of North Yorkshire the following year.
