BBC Antiques Road Trip expert Izzie Balmer was left unimpressed by her co-star’s remark during auction.
Antiques Road Trip experts Izzie Balmer and James Braxton were on the third leg of their BBC show road trip, with the scores standing at 1-1 in the best out of five series.
In the previous episode, James had celebrated a modest profit of £30.46, while Izzie suffered a loss of £17.76. During the most recent episode, they were bargain hunting in Shropshire, each armed with a budget of £200 and tasked with finding five items from local shops.
James picked up a bamboo table, a mirrored star, a wooden box of dyes, an enamel advertising sign and a wooden storage box.
Meanwhile, Izzie chose a garden bench, a pair of cast iron ends, a Victorian chamber joke pot, a William the Fourth mug, a travel alarm clock and a Victorian teapot trio.

Back in Glasgow for the third auction of the week, James’ bamboo table was first to go under the hammer, but it ended up making a £5 loss.
However, the real surprise came when James’ advertising sign only made a £5 profit, with James admitting: “I thought it was gonna fly.”
But it was Izzie’s garden bench that stole the limelight, causing a bidding frenzy that James jokingly begged to “stop.” Izzie retorted: “Come on – don’t be like that now.”

Izzie’s garden bench sold for a huge £120 (Image: BBC)She had bought the bench for £35, but it sold for an impressive £120. James couldn’t hide his envy as he remarked: “That had a sort of garden centre feel about that bench.”
Although Izzie stood her ground, retorting: “Don’t be rude about my bench.” Yet, Izzie’s triumph was far from over, with her Victorian tea set fetching an impressive £295 profit, reports LiverpoolEcho.
Ultimately, Izzie clinched her second victory of the week with a staggering £345.19 profit, leaving James trailing with a mere 51p gain.
As the week concludes, all profits are pledged to Children in Need.
