Simon Cowell appeared to have had an unfortunate mishap with the razor as he sported uneven facial hair at the Britain’s Got Talent photocall on Wednesday.
The music mogul, 65, wore his signature smart outfit of a long-sleeved black jumper and dark trousers, which he styled with suit shoes and his orange tinted glasses.
However, it was Simon’s facial hair that caught the eye as he rocked an eye catching shaven strip out of his moustache. The reason behind this is not known.
Despite the shaving mishap, the judge was in good spirits as he was joined at the photocall by their fellow judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli, as well as guest judge KSI.
During the day Simon was seen larking around with Amanda, who he has worked with on the show since 2007, as they proved they are as close friends as ever.
The latest series of BGT is also set for a huge format change as it will be the longest series ever.

Simon Cowell is ‘brutally heckled’ during rowdy Britain’s Got Talent audition

Despite it being slightly amusing for the crew at the time, editing the recordings has been hard work as the unpleasant insults from the crowd can’t be included.
Thankfully Simon saw the funny side and loves the more lively crowds, an insider told The Sun: ‘Simon isn’t vain in that way and found the heckling absolutely hilarious — even when they were calling him an old fart.
‘He loves having BGT in Blackpool precisely because the crowds are so raucous and enthusiastic. And he knows that sometimes he might be on the receiving end of their passion.
‘He even encourages them to misbehave, even if sometimes the misbehaviour can cause a headache for the production team. Thankfully they were compensated for any hassle by a rare chance to have a good laugh at the boss’s expense.’
MailOnline have reached out to Britain’s Got Talent representatives for comment.
