Netflix fans have raved over a ‘horrifying’ crime thriller with a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score.

Spanish thriller The Snow Girl – which hit our screens in January 2023 – is based on author Javier Castillo’s novel of the same name.

It follows the story of a young intern journalist called Miren (Milena Smit), who is desperate to find out what happened to a young girl who went missing in Malaga 15 years ago.

Those who have watched the series have enjoyed watching the drama unfold each episode.

So much so that it’s been awarded 100% on review website Rotten Tomatoes.

And those who have watched have confessed that they’ve watched the entire series ‘in one go’.

The synopsis reads: ‘When a girl disappears in Málaga, a young journalist becomes fiercely determined to uncover the truth, risking everything to bring closure to the family.’

Many have raved about the series on X, formerly known as Twitter.

One said: ‘The Snow Girl on #netflix was hands down the best limited series I’ve ever seen.’

While another wrote on Rotten Tomatoes: ‘The Snow Girl is a remarkable case study: how a novel so poor… has become an absorbing police thriller by changing the artificial New York environment for one that feels and looks not only genuine but even natural.’

A third chimed in: ‘A pure investigative thriller with high doses of suspense.’

A fourth added: ‘I watched the entire first season in one go. I thought it was well-written and the casting was fantastic.

The Snow Girl was released on Netflix in January 2023.

And fans will be happy to know that the second season has dropped on Netflix too.

The Soul Game is based on author Castillo’s second book.

Many will be happy to know that author Javier Castillo has hinted that a third series may be around the corner.

Javier recently said of another season: ‘We are all in the dark.

 ‘We don’t know if there will be a third instalment of the series, but I hope so.

‘The third book makes a full circle of Miren’s journey.

‘It would be an incredible way to close, both the great wound that the character of inspector Millán has left, and the emotional journey that Miren has experienced during the three books.’
