Britain’s Got Talent viewers have been left fuming as the ITV talent show was pulled from the TV schedule, with many complaining on social media
Amanda Holden presses BGT golden buzzer for 11-year-old
Britain’s Got Talent fans were left fuming after ITV dropped the beloved talent show from its Saturday night lineup on 15 March. The network opted to broadcast the final Six Nations Championship match between France and Scotland instead, which kicked off at 8pm, clashing with BGT’s regular timeslot.
Disgruntled fans didn’t hold back on social media, voicing their displeasure over what they deemed an “unnecessary” schedule shake-up that spoiled their weekend viewing plans.
One irate viewer vented on X: “Joke taking #BGT and #The1PercentClub off for rugby, there’s 3 other channels they could put it on and they have to take everything off for. Saturday night best night for TV and it’s ruined.”
Another took a swipe at ITV, tweeting: “@ITV taking the p**s bumping @BGT #BGT for the football (sic). Completely unnecessary, plenty of other channels to put this on.”

This year’s series will continue until the end of May, with episodes airing every Saturday night. In contrast to previous years, when the BGT semi-finals aired consecutively during the week, this format extends the show’s run.
