Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge is set to make his debut on the island of Saint Marie as Sterling Fox but where might viewers recognise him from?

The 14th season of Death In Paradise is shaking things up once more, following the introduction of DI Mervin Wilson (played by Don Gilet) at the series’ outset.

Now, Selwyn Patterson (Don Warrington) is retiring as the island’s police Commissioner, making way for a fresh face.

Sterling Fox (Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge) will be the next Commissioner joining the team in the episode airing on Friday, 7th March, on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

While he may be new to Saint Marie, fans of the beloved comedy-drama might recognise him from another BBC series.

Viewers will recall his romantic storyline with consultant surgeon Ange Godard (Dawn Steele), despite their significant age difference.

Despite the odds, they pursued their relationship, resulting in Ange falling pregnant with twins and the couple finding their happily ever after.

Besides Holby City, Blackwood-Cambridge has appeared in BBC Three’s Enterprice, Channel 4’s This Way Up and Disney+’s Rematch.

Sterling makes quite the entrance at the police station, decked out in a sharp suit and emerging from a swanky car.

His visit turns uncomfortable when he patronisingly calls the station “cute”, irking his new colleagues.

He’s set to ruffle feathers further, especially Mervin’s, as he meddles in the probe into his mother’s mysterious death.

The question remains: will Sterling win over the squad, or is turbulence on the horizon for the team’s relationship with their new Commissioner?
