Strictly Come Dancing’s Vito Coppola declared his love for Strictly co-star Ellie Leach as he updated fans on social media with the pair reuniting as the dancer arrived in Manchester.

Former Coronation Street star Ellie featured on the 2023 series of the ballroom dancing show, and was partnered with Vito. The pair went on to lift the coveted Glitterball trophy, pipping Layton Williams and Bobby Brazier to the post.

Recently, Ellie documented the one-year anniversary of her participating in a string of live shows during Strictly Come Dancing’s tour. She also celebrated that it had been a year since her and Vito got matching tattoos, as she captioned: “One whole year with our gorgeous baby bees”.

Taking to his own Instagram story on Saturday (1st February), Vito posted a video of the pair reuniting. He announced: “Now in the car going to the class here in Manchester and I have a driver, a special driver, who is driving me to the class” before panning across to Ellie in the driving seat.

Ellie responded in faux-shock: “A special driver?! Is that all you think of me as?! Your taxi driver” as Vito continued to joke that he wanted to sit in the back “like a proper passenger”.

As the pair continued to laugh, Vito lovingly celebrated: “Ahh, I’m with my baby today! We’re going to be together and she might join us tomorrow”.

The friends then went on to complain about having to cook later on, with Ella revealing she’s “excited” for Vito to cook but not for her.

This year, Vito competed with actress with Sarah Harding and although they came close to the win, they lost to comedian Chris McCausland and his professional partner Dianne Buswell.

Unfortunately for Vito, he is unable to perform at the live tour this year due to an injury as he wrote on Instagram: “I won’t be able to be with you on the Strictly Arena Tour, we had the chance to dance one more time together and it has been as always super beautiful and memorable”.

He added: “Let’s always see the glass half full and to stay, keep and spread positivity. We have closed the circle of our journey Trilly and I am glad that we have lifted the trophy together.

“Team Tiramisu for one last time I will keep following you and cheering for you, as always and I will come to watch the show every single time I can, so don’t worry, you won’t get rid of me…”
