This Morning fans all had the same complaint as Adolescence star Owen Cooper was grilled by Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard during Thursday’s show.
Joining the hosts on the sofa, alongside his co-star Faye Marsay, the actor, 15, reflected on the success of the series and his new found fame.
However, despite the show’s huge popularity viewers at home were less than impressed.
During the interview, Ben asked: ‘I wonder what it’s been like for you Owen because it’s been your first foray into this world. We’ve never seen anything like this, how have you found it?’
Owen replied: ‘It’s gone well so far, I’ve not had any bad things said about me so I’m doing well so far.’
When asked how he was coping with his new found fame he added: ‘It’s not been that bad, when I’ve been working I’ve been in Yorkshire so I’ve not had that many which is good.’

Faye said: ‘I’ve been working for 14 years now and nothing I’ve ever done has made an impact in the way that this show has. Its been a crazy response, to hear that it could be played in schools.’
Fans of This Morning shared their thoughts on X, claiming they were bored of hearing about Adolescence.
They shared: ‘Yet more Adolescence and toxic masculinity…. still nothing about the real dangers of grooming rape gangs and machete gangs’; ‘Adolescence again’;
‘Skinny jab – adolescence – post office – skinny jab – adolescence – bridget jones – skinny jab – traitors – adolescence – skinny jab’; ‘Didn’t you mean to say ‘We’ve been paid by Netflix to promote Adolescence daily’, Cat?’
Owen recently revealed the chilling eight words that his co-star Stephen Graham used to rile him up before filming their one-take episodes.
The actor, who plays the role of school boy Jamie Miller in the Netflix drama, is accused of killing his female classmate – and the show follows the aftermath of when the police burst into his family home to arrest him.
The crime drama series, written and created by Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne, explores the important issue of toxic masculinity in today’s society.
And the young star has explained how his co-star Stephen, who plays his on-screen dad Eddie Miller, helped him get into character.

Speaking with Variety, Owen said: ‘Obviously Stephen was always checking in on me.
‘But there was a time in episode one, when it was just us two, with no camera, in the police cell, and he scruffed me up and said “you’re never going to see your mum again, you’re never going to see your dad again,” and was going on and on.
‘Before then I’d been frustrated because I hadn’t been getting emotional. But after that point I was emotional in every take. So that helped me a lot. He was amazing to work with.’
Adolescence is Owen’s first ever show – and fans have begged for him to receive a BAFTA for his work.
Speaking about his acting experience with the publication, he admitted: ‘Literally nothing. I only really wanted to start acting a couple of years ago.
‘It’s not been long. I grew up wanting to be a footballer. I don’t know what it was that made me want to do it, but I just wanted to do it. And then I went to lessons and enjoyed it.
‘And then I got into a little agency thing, and then I got a self-tape request for Adolescence. And everything came from that really.’
