Janette Manrara wiped away tears in an emotional Instagram post on Monday, as she prepared to bid farewell to her husband Aljaz Skorjanec and their daughter Lyra.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, 41, joined the touring cast for the musical Chicago last week, and is heading to Ireland for a string of shows beginning on Tuesday.

After her performances at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Janette will head to Belfast for shows at the Grand Opera House from March 17th to 22nd.

The star had previously shared that she won’t see Aljaz or Lyra for those two weeks, and instead they’re planning to spend time with his family in Slovenia.

In an new video posted on her Instagram Stories, Janette revealed she had bid farewell to her family ahead of her tour shows, and shared a message for other working parents.

She said: ‘Hi gang. Just said my goodbyes to Aljaž and Lyra, and I won’t see them for two weeks now but sharing is good because it makes us all feel better.

The Strictly Come Dancing star joined the touring cast for the musical Chicago last week, and recently revealed that due to her performances, she won’t see Lyra for two weeks

‘And I miss them a lot. It’s the longest I’ll be away from Lyra so just starting to count down to the day I see her again.’

‘But in the mean time, I’m gonna stay strong and know that mommy is making her proud. And she is gonna have the best time with her cousins and her nan in Slovenia.

‘Anyways, to all the parents that have to say goodbye to their kids for work or for whatever reason, it’s always tough but we’ve got this! We’ve got it.’

Alongside the clip, Janette shared another message for her followers, writing: ‘It always makes me feel better to share. Hope this also helps other working parents out there. It’s hard but we got this.’

Janette previously spoke about being away from Lyra during an appearance on The One Show.

She said: ‘I think that’s what kind of not worries me but scares me a little bit y’know it’s a long contract and to be away from her.

‘So Aljaž is gonna come to as many venues and cities as he possibly can, Blackpool being one them. We’re gonna go back to Blackpool with the show.

‘I’ve been there only with Strictly so it’ll be interesting to go now with Chicago. But yeah they’re gonna come with me as much as possible and I am flying home on days off to just cuddle with her as much as I can.’

During the recent Strictly tour, Janette revealed it ‘takes a village’ as she enlisted various family members to help look after Lyra while she and Aljaz worked.

As well as her mother, Aljaz’s sister and brother-in-law stepped into help, as well as Aljaz’s parents.

In one post on social media, Janette penned: ‘Being on the road with @strictlycomedancinglive is amazing, but as a I’ve mentioned, it takes a village when it comes to making sure Lyra is happy and safe.

‘This past week, it was her aunt @laraljubic and uncle @nejcljubic that stepped in w/ her cousins to look after her and it’s safe to say, she had THE BEST time! Thank you to my awesome sister-in-law & her husband for being so incredible. We love you and I’m sure we’ll see you again soon!’

While another read: ‘And the final week of the #StrictlyLiveTour childcare puzzle, was having @aljazskorjanec parents come and look after Lyra the final week of shows. They had THE BEST time and all the updates I kept getting from them were constant photos of Lyra smiling.

‘Thank you @natasaskorjanec and Srečko for being such great grandparents and creating such beautiful memories w/ Lyra while mom and dad worked. I keep saying it, but it takes a village and knowing Lyra has so much love around even if far away, makes my heart smile.’

It comes after Janette was recently embroiled in controversy with Wynne Evans, who was axed from the Strictly live tour over a vile remark he made about her.

Last month, the opera singer, 53, stepped down from the tour after The Mail On Sunday revealed he made a vile remark about a ‘spit roast’ aimed at Janette during a photocall for the tour.

In the Mail On Sunday video, Wynne can be seen stood in the middle of a line-up of 20 celebrities and dancers as Janette, who hosts the TV spin-off Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, is summoned to join them.

As she approaches, Wynne warns her with a grin: ‘Not too close to Jamie [Borthwick]!’

He then pulls a suggestive face at the actor, behind Janette’s back, as she moves between them. It is at that point Wynne makes his disgusting joke at her expense.

Seconds later, her dancer husband Aljaz, who was standing nearby, asks her: ‘Darling, are you OK?’ She replies curtly: ‘Yep.’

Wynne has agreed with the BBC to step away from the tour and any other work commitments to ‘take some time out’ as the inappropriate jibe looks set to sink his entire career.
