Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden was supported by her co-stars after she declared she was ‘back’ following an emotional yet joyous night alongside her friend and tour co-star Carlos Gu

Amy Dowden has received an outpouring of love and support after announcing her triumphant return following a night filled with emotion and celebration with one of her fellow Strictly Come Dancing stars.

The professional dancer, known for her appearances on the BBC One hit show, has teamed up with her colleague Carlos Gu to embark on their very own headline tour.

Both Amy and Carlos, who are integral members of the Strictly professional group, kicked off their ‘Reborn’ tour last month, impressing fans nationwide with their performances.

However, it was on the evening of Tuesday (April 1) that the duo had their West End dream realised as they took to the stage at London’s Adelphi Theatre, with their Strictly family cheering them on from the audience.

Strictly personalities such as Shirley Ballas, Katya Jones, Dianne Buswell, and Nadiya Bychkova were reportedly present to witness the event.

The following day, Wednesday (April 2), saw Amy reflect on the previous night’s success via social media. Sharing a joyful photo of herself and Carlos in a warm embrace, the 35-year-old expressed her happiness: “These are the faces of two happy friends who performed their show on a West End stage last night to the most fabulous, busy and supportive audience with the most talented cast!

“The love and support we’ve received has just been over whelming and I can’t thank you all enough. Last night was a special night which will stay in my heart forever! AMY IS BACK! Forever grateful #reborn #whatanight #dreamscometrue.”

Dianne Buswell expressed her affection with a simple: “Loved it” and Tasha Ghouri remarked: “Incredible show!!” Meanwhile, Gorka Marquez said: “[Clapping emojis] so gutted I missed it.”

Among the slew of supportive fans, @xlaurennk commented: “Amy is back. What a truly magical night , seeing you headline the West End was so special.” In response, @jowitasdowden replied warmly: “So incredibly proud of you for absolutely everything! Grateful and blessed to be supporting you. Amy is back better than ever.”

On his Instagram Story, Carlos also expressed: “The love me and @amy_dowden received last night in the West End was phenomenal. I’ve never really experienced anything like this. Thank you my family, friends and fans, you truly made my night. I’ll forever remember this moment! Dreams do come true!”
