Fans are speculating that Rylan Clark may be teasing a new venture after he called himself ‘brave’ for embarking on an ambitious solo trip.

The much-loved BBC Radio 2 presenter recently took to social media, announcing his return from a short solo journey to the States. Rylan swapped British shores for the glitz of Los Angeles and shared a series of pictures on his social platforms.

One image provided a sneak peek at the breathtaking Los Angeles skyline as he enjoyed a glass of fresh orange juice. He was then captured indulging in a spot of shopping along the luxurious Rodeo Drive, then seen strolling through Beverly Hills, iced coffee in hand.

Rylan intrigued his fans with some more mysterious images too, notably a snap featuring a notepad and pen, alongside shots that looked like they were taken inside a recording studio brandishing signs that declared: “F**k off. I’m writing.”

He captioned his update to his 2.3 million followers, stating: “Back from 4 days solo in LA. Big Brave Boy.” This prompted fans to theorise that he’s writing an album.

Followers quickly chimed in with their reactions. @charl0ttesayshi excitedly posted: “If this isn’t Rylan the album we riot!! Been waiting far too long!” @lifeataddy added, somewhat enviously: “Not jealous at all! Hope you had a lovely trip.”

This wave of affection comes as Rylan was seemingly set for a new career direction, receiving an endorsement from a fellow TV personality who suggested the change could ‘pan out well for him’.

Ncuti Gatwa said he has belief in the former X Factor and Celebrity Big Brother contestant’s potential in acting following his stint on Doctor Who. It was announced in March that Rylan will feature in the upcoming series of the sci-fi show.

In an official statement from the BBC, Rylan shared his excitement: “As a massive Whovian, getting the call to be in Doctor Who was a call I’ve always dreamed of getting.

“The episode is all my favourite things about the show with an added song contest set in space. It really is a dream come true. I can’t wait for everyone to see it. It really is going to be out of this world.”

A full on dream come true. Hope you enjoy.”

Ncuti expressed great enthusiasm about collaborating with Rylan on the ‘Eurovision’ themed sci-fi story. Sharing his experience with Big Issue magazine, he said: “I acted with Rylan Clark. I never thought I would ever do that!

“Rylan was really good as well. If he decides to do more acting, I can see it panning out well for him. I was so impressed and he brought an amazing energy to the set. We all felt a bit of a hole in our hearts after he left.”
