Pete Wicks caught up with his Strictly Come Dancing co-star, Jowita Przystal, after his ex Maura Higgins, was caught locking lips with Danny Jones at the BRIT Awards

Pete Wicks looked delighted to be reunited with Jowita Przystal after his ex, Maura Higgins, was caught kissing married dad-of-one, Danny Jones.

In footage which sent shockwaves through the showbiz industry, Maura, 34, appears to lock lip with her I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! co-star, 38, at the BRITs after party in London on the weekend.

Maura was dating Pete, 36, until they called it quits earlier this year following reports the former ring girl from Ireland found messages on the TOWIE star’s phone.

However, Pete didn’t look too upset about the split – or the recent scandal surrounding his ex – when he caught up with Strictly Come Dancing partner, Jowita, at a goat sanctuary. The professional dancer shared snaps of the pair at the farm, wrapped up against the cold in puffer jackets and woolly hats as they larked around with the adorable animals.

Captioning the snaps in which Pete can be seen crouching down with two baby goats on his back, the Strictly star said: ” Thank you @buttercupsgoats for having us x @p_wicks01 everyone is waiting for that update in bio #stayingrelevant #goats.” Responding to the post, Pete replied with three black hearts.

Pete and Jowita made it all the way to the Strictly final in December and convinced some fans that they were more than just friends.

However, despite admitting they had “great chemistry” together on the dance floor, Jowita revealed she saw Pete as a “brother”. Speaking about their relationship at the Pride of Britain Awards in November, she said: “We’re very good friends, and I love him so much as a brother, and I think we’re going to stay friends for life, to be honest.”

Maura slammed her ex for ‘cheating’ just days before she was spotted apparently kissing Danny at the BRIT Awards after party. The Love Island star and married McFly singer shocked fans on the weekend when a clip of them getting close after the BRIT Awards emerged. They appeared to share multiple kisses following the music award ceremony at the O2 Arena in London. Maura and Danny continued the party as they headed to a swanky bash together.

It has since been claimed the real reason behind Maura’s split with Pete was because she grew suspicious of him and that he was “messing her around”. The former couple are said to have rowed over trust before deciding to part ways. “She felt she was proved right when she saw loads of messages with other women on his phone,” a source said.

They continued in The Sun: “She knew she’d never be able to feel like she could trust him — even if the messages were all innocent, it’s not something she could get past. She didn’t want to be constantly worried about what her man was doing.”
