Breakfast TV queen Lorraine Kelly has headed back to hospital following surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes.
Lorraine shared her shock surgery news on May 3. She posted a video from her hospital bed and said: “Just wanted to let you know I’m having a wee procedure today. I’ve not been feeling all that well for a little while, so I had some scans and tests and I have to have my ovaries and tubes taken out.
“It’s purely preventative. It’s going to be with keyhole surgery, which is incredible. I’m being very well looked after and I’ll obviously see you very soon. I’m going to be totally fine. See you soon.”

Earlier this week, Lorraine took to social media to tell fans that she hoped to be back at work on Monday (May 19).
She shared a picture of herself in bed with granddaughter Billie and said: “Thanks so much for all your get well wishes. Billie providing the medicine ever with lots of cuddles for her granny. Hopefully back to work on Monday. I’ve missed you.”
Last night, Lorraine revealed that she’s been back in hospital to see her consultant.
Posting a picture of herself with her doctor and granddaughter Billie, she revealed she’s been signed off to return to work. However, Dr Raafat did enforce strict conditions, warning Lorraine that she must take it easy.
I can go back to work on Monday – as long as I take it easy.
Revealing she’s heading back to ITV’s Lorraine on Monday, she said: “I had my check up l today and the fabulous @ahmed_raafat_gynaecologist_ says I can go back to work on Monday – as long as I take it easy.”
She then revealed: “Billie obviously loved him.”
Sharing her thanks, Lorraine concluded her post: “Huge thanks to Mr Rafaat and his top team who’ve chosen to work here and help us – from countries like Croatia, Nepal and all over Europe, Africa and the Caribbean. What on earth would we do without you.”
‘Lovely to see you smiling’
Famous pals seemed thrilled to hear Lorraine is on the mend and headed back to work.
Christine Lampard, who’s been covering for Lorraine, shared three red love hearts. Ranvir Singh added: “Beautiful post LK.”
Loose Women‘s Katie Piper also commented. She said: “Lovely to see you smiling.”
