Strictly Come Dancing stars Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec have been married for eight years and the couple shared a sweet update.

Janette Manrara has been inundated with well-wishes as she shared a sneak peek into her charming ‘one night away’ with husband Aljaz Skorjanec, celebrating a significant personal event. The Strictly Come Dancing favourites have enjoyed over ten years of love since their first encounter at Dance Attic studios in London back in 2010.

Their love story flourished while performing in the renowned dance production, Burn the Floor, but soon faced the challenge of a long-distance relationship, with Aljaž returning to Slovenia and Janette to LA.

Fate brought them together again in London in 2013 when they both joined Strictly as professional dancers. In 2015, Aljaz made a romantic gesture by proposing at the very dance studio where their paths first crossed.

They tied the knot in a glamorous London wedding in 2017, surrounded by their TV Strictly colleagues and with Janette’s dream dress designed by her ex-celebrity dance partner Julien Macdonald.

On Tuesday (July 15), Janette took to Instagram to share how they marked their anniversary, posting a video filled with joyful images of the couple. She revealed that they returned to The Ned in London, where they spent their first night as a married couple, reports Manchester Evening News.

In her post, alongside the heartwarming footage, Janette expressed: “Happy Anniversary. Life has been so busy this year with work, the move, and of course raising our little sunshine Lyra, but we have managed it all so well.

“We’ve been a true team through it all. One night away for just the two of us, to remind ourselves of the beautiful day we got married, was exactly what we needed.”

She continued: “Staying in the same hotel of our wedding night, having a beautiful dinner over looking the sunset, it could not have been more perfect. Married and best friends through this crazy ride of life. I love you more than you will ever know…..”

The congratulations poured in for the couple. Janette’s It Takes Two co-presenter Fleur East gushed: “Happy anniversary to you both.”

Ex-Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley responded: “Happy Anniversary you gorgeous pair.”

Dragons’ Den entrepreneur, and Aljaz’s former celebrity dance partner, Sara Davies enthused: “Awwwwww so glad you guys got some special time just the 2 of you! Enjoy.”

Fashion designer Julian, mentioned earlier, penned: “All the Lovers. Happy anniversary to my fabulous friends. Now you need to celebrate and KEEP DANCING.”

Meanwhile, @elena_gunners posted: “Happy Anniversary to the lovely couple!” @nbarnes86 gushed: “What a beautiful place to celebrate! Happy Anniversary to you guys. What you have is so special.”

Elsewhere, @adelew1234 remarked: “Such a beautiful couple… I hope my fiance and I are as happy as you guys in years to come.”
