Paul Sinha, a Chaser on ITV’s The Chase, jokingly “handed in his notice” after contestants won £100,000 in an episode that aired this week. Bradley Walsh, the show’s host, humorously suggested that Paul should resign following the unexpected outcome.

Walsh quipped that Paul had “handed his notice in” after an “unbelievable” final round where the contestants emerged victorious. Contestants Ian, Jennie, Gregor and Karen all began their journey on the show hoping to win some cash.Ian, a magician from London, was the first to face the Chaser, managing to accumulate £6,000 in the cash builder round. He then went head-to-head with The Sinnerman in the subsequent round.

After successfully outsmarting Paul, Ian secured his spot in the final. Jennie attempted to follow suit but was unfortunately bested by the Chaser and was sent packing.

Karen then left the audience and viewers at home astounded as she opted for the high offer of £93,000. Fans of the show took to social media to commend Karen for her audacious move, reports the Mirror.

One viewer exclaimed: “Good girl! ,” while another added: “Karen didn’t even stutter taking that high offer.”

Karen’s gamble paid off as she also made it to the final alongside Ian, giving them the opportunity to win £100,000 between them.

The duo managed to correctly answer 16 questions in the final chase before Paul attempted to outdo them. However, Paul wasn’t able to surpass them as he usually would, resulting in each contestant walking away with a hefty £50,000.

With only a second to spare, host Bradley Walsh remarked: “That was close.”

The Chaser, reportedly impressed with the contestants Ian and Karen, said: “You absolutely deserve every penny of that.”

He then humorously expressed regret over his performance, adding: “I’ve cost ITV £100,000 but you don’t need to care about any of that.”

Bradley jocularly responded with: “That’s a funny way to hand in your notice.”

Following their victory, Ian and Karen shared their plans for the winnings. Karen aspired to indulge her son with a trip to the Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix, while Ian anticipated splurging on a new car.

Despite experiencing defeat, The Sinnerman, also known as Paul, has been revealed by Betway as the most triumphant Chaser with an impressive 78 percent win rate from 436 episodes on The Chase. His average target score is 19, and he has accomplished the highest average Chaser win total, amassing £14,651 per game, confirming his status as the top-earning Chaser of the series.
