The stage was set for a typical performance, but what unfolded was far from it. William’s act left everyone in the room questioning what they had just witnessed.

Fans of  Britain’s Got Talent have issued complaints after the talent show took an unexpected turn with one contestants’s “haunting” audition. During Saturday’s edition (March 22) of the ITV show, hosts Amanda Holden, Bruno Tonioli, and Alesha Dixon returned to the judging panel when the show visited Blackpool. But this week, the trio were left without their head judge, leaving YouTuber KSI to stand in.

The show brought it’s usual madness with breath-taking stunt and emotional performances, but one act left viewers horrified. At first, former Strictly star Bruno was excited to greet fellow Italian William, who hails from Milan. As the infectious beat of “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars filled the air, William took to the stage with an exuberant energy that quickly captivated the audience.

What set William apart from the usual acts was his bizarre ability to make his eyes bulge out dramatically, a quirky twist that was perfectly synchronized with the lively rhythm of the song. His unusual display not only sparked laughter but also a sense of unease among those watching.

The judges were visibly startled, jumping out of their seats in a mix of surprise and bewilderment. The audience shared their astonishment, with some feeling genuinely thrilled and others feeling terrified by the unsettling performance.

As the camera panned across the crowd, it was clear that viewers at home were equally divided in their reactions. It didn’t take long before fans flooded to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their complaints online.

One user wrote: “I never want to see this guy popping his eyes out again that’s gonna haunt me” as another added: “That can’t be good for his eyes #BGT.” A third chuckled: “Waiting for the ‘Don’t Try This At Home’ warning. Imagine people getting carted into A&E tonight with their eyes popping out [cry-laughing emoji] #BGT.”
And it’s fair to say the judges echoed their sentiment, as KSI and Amanda Holden slammed their buzzers before the act had even finished. As the routine went on Alesha exclaimed: “I am not buzzing that!” while Bruno chuckled: “Simon would like this”.

Unfortunately, William failed to make it through to the next round but his disturbing performance certainly won’t be forgotten any time soon.
