I’m A Celebrity stars Danny Jones and Maura Higgins, who have been at the centre of cheating rumours after their BRIT Awards ‘kiss’ were both contestants on the 2024 series of the ITV reality show.

The internet has been abuzz with clips of fans reeling from the surprise after witnessing I’m A Celebrity co-stars Danny Jones, who is married, and Maura Higgins apparently caught in a ‘kiss’ at a BRIT Awards bash.

Danny Jones’ wife, Georgia Jones, has been receiving waves of support from worried supporters, though none of the involved parties – Georgia, Danny, or Maura – have made any public statements regarding the scandal.

Under Georgia’s latest Instagram picture, one sympathiser expressed: “I’m so sorry. You are such a beautiful person inside and out. We are all here for you.” Another posted: “I’m so sorry if it’s true with Danny.” While a third assured: “We’re all behind you.”

But what led up to Danny and Maura’s apparent intimacy, and were there signs we simply missed?

The pair starred on the ITV series I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2024 which also featured famous faces like Coleen Rooney and Barry McGuigan, Wales Online reports.

There was an episode where the notorious Maura recounts her vengeance on an ex-boyfriend who cheated on her prior to her appearance on Love Island, divulging the story to campmates Danny and Jane Moore.

Her confession: “I had a plan and no word of a lie, when he went to the gym the next day I got his toothbrush and I filmed myself scrubbing in the verges [of the toilet], he had a dentist appointment that day!”

Her story elicited a memorable reaction from Danny as he said: “You don’t wanna mess with Maura!”

However, a particular moment during their interaction caught the attention of some fans.

One fan commented on a screenshot of their conversation, saying: “Anyone else noticed the way Danny looks at Maura.” Yet, not all fans agreed.

A TikTok user known as mush__lover defended the McFly star in a video, stating: “I mean I can’t see it. I can’t see it at all. It’s just Danny being nice. You know, looking at someone while they’re talking to you is just being polite. Like, I can’t see it being any more than that.

“And like, plus his wife and his son are watching. Like, it would be so weird to be doing that. So no, I’m team Danny. He’s not flirting with Maura.”

Danny and Georgia tied the knot in 2014 after being together since 2009. He popped the question while on holiday in Cyprus, and they didn’t waste any time, getting hitched the following summer in Yorkshire.

Their first dance was to Ellie Goulding’s hit ‘How Long Will I Love You?’ They welcomed their son Cooper in January 2018, who is now seven-years-old.

The couple regularly share updates about their family life and adventures on social media. This isn’t the first time the pair have faced challenges together.

Georgia revealed on the Made by Mammas podcast: “Before, when Danny joined The Voice Kids, it was straight after I’d had Cooper. I’d given birth five days before and he had to go back to work, so I was left home alone.

“We’ve always said that – as long as we’ve been together, we’ve always enjoyed our separate times because when we’ve reunited it’s even nicer.”

She added: “Communication is key, as well. It’s something we had to relearn after having a baby – it’s just constant resentment at the other partner for not doing enough, even though they are.”
