Jowita Przystal was left gushing over her ‘sensational’ co-star as she was left hailing one of her Strictly Come Dancing pal’s major moves.

Fans may be aware that Johannes Radebe has had a busy start to the year as he took on a major move away from the hit dance show’s famous ballroom.

Johannes, who hails from South Africa, made his stage debut back in January as he took on the role of drag queen Lola in the hit musical, Kinky Boots and has been winning great praise for his performance.

Jowita has been the latest Strictly star to see him in action for herslf and took to social media with a video of Johannes in his element during the final bows.

Alongside the joyous video, the dancer said: “Friend!!!!! You are sensational!! I’m so proud of you and I’m so happy to see you living your best life. You’re a superstar @johannesradebe @kinkyboots_uk.”

It come after both Johannes and Jowita were confirmed to be returning to the Strictly ballroom later this year after the BBC announced it professional line-up earlier this month.

Joining Jowita and Johannes back on the dancefloor for series 23 of the hit dance show are Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Neil Jones, and Kai Widdrington.

Also completing this year’s line-up are Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Katya Jones, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola.

The BBC also revealed that two brand new professional dancers will also be joining the lin-up, with the new pros set to be revealed closer to the return of the show in the autumn.

After the line-up was confirmed, Jowita shared a video of herself dancing during some filming for the 2024 series, before she made it all the way to the semi-final with Pete Wicks. Alongside the post, she wrote: “5 [heart emoji]. And I cannot wait x #grateful #strictly.”

The messages quickly came flooding in with Strictly co-star Amy Dowden cheering: “Yessssssss.” 2024 finalist Tasha Ghouri replied: “Let’s go.” Jamie Borthwick commented: “Go chic.” Montell Douglas replied: “The pocket rocket is back!” Nancy Xu said: “Yesss babyyyy.”

My star always forever proud of you and always in your corner.” @strictlyxjowitax posted: “Can’t wait to watch you shine once again!!! So excited for strictly season to start again.” @hannahbailesxoxo added: “Yay!! Cant wait to watch you dance again.”

Sarah James, Executive Producer, BBC Studios said in a statement about the pro line-up: “The excitement is already building ahead of the new series and in addition to welcoming back our fantastic returning Pros, we are looking forward to welcoming two brand new Professional Dancers to the line up who will help bring another unforgettable series of dazzling dance and loads more besides to viewers later in 2025.”
