Alison Hammond made a triumphant return to This Morning this month and after a summer of love and laughter, it seems her star is shining brighter than ever. The 49-year-old telly favourite is loved-up with Russian masseuse David Putman, 27, and a source tells us that after her new man was given the official seal of approval from her teenage son Aidan, they’ve even talked about marriage.
On top of her happy home life, Alison showed off the incredible results of her intense fitness regime – which has seen her drop from 28 stone down to 17 – at the National Television Awards last week.
“This is the most content Alison has been for a long time, everything seems to be going well,” our source said. “Her career is going from strength to strength and she loves being on This Morning with Dermot and audiences love her and she is very in demand.
“She’s also lost quite a bit of weight and while she’s always been happy with her body no matter what size, she feels very healthy and has been working out a lot more and taking care of herself. She’s glowing!”

In April, the Bake Off host delighted everyone when she went official with younger man David, posting photographs of them looking cosy together.
At the time, she admitted it was “a lot harder” to date as a single mum now that Aidan, 19, was more grown up and able to voice his opinion on her choice of men. She also said he “normally hates anybody I date,” and whenever that’s the case “it isn’t going to work.” Thankfully though, he thinks she’s onto a winner this time.
“It’s a lot harder because he wants to know that this guy is treating me well,” she told Rob Beckett and Josh Widdecombe on their Parenting Hell podcast. “The person that I’m seeing at the moment, [Aidan’s] on his Instagram and like, ‘Yeah I like him, he’s not too in your face’. When they actually met, he really liked him and really thought he was lovely. That’s nice.”

Brummie Alison shares her son with cab driver Noureddine Boufaied, who she was engaged to almost 20 years ago but never married. While there’s been rumours of other romances, including one last year with gardener Ben Hawkins, the For The Love of Dogs host has always insisted she has no problems being single.
“In fact, I quite like it,” she once said. “I think that’s why I struggle in relationships, because I don’t want somebody around me all the time.”
In May, Alison presented This Morning with a huge ring on her engagement finger, but quickly moved it to the other hand and joked: “Not just yet. Maybe one day, who knows.” And with things said to be still going swimmingly with David, our source says we could be hearing wedding bells – or at least seeing flashes of an actual engagement ring – at some point.
“They went through some tough times when they first started going out but David has made her believe in love again and has restored her faith in men,” they claimed. “Add in the fact that she is very happy in her new relationship and has got Aidan’s approval and Alison couldn’t be happier.
“They have talked about marriage and although it’s quite soon, Alison would love to get married one day. And she wants to look her best when she does even if it’s not for a while.”
Alison oozed confidence in her gorgeous monochrome outfit before heading off to the National Television Awards
Alison certainly looked her best when she stepped onto the NTA red carpet in an elegant black dress with a dramatic white cape-sleeve. The compliments flooded in for the Best TV Presenter nominee, with Vanessa Feltz and Ruth Langsford agreeing she looked “stunning”, and This Morning’s Alice Beer saying she was “so very beautiful”.
Our source told us that Alison will continue her “wedding shape up.” “She loves how she’s looking at the moment and if she were to walk down the aisle, she would want to feel at her best and she’s become so into working out and the gym that she will probably lose more weight.”
Alison confessed recently that her focus to lose weight was initially triggered by the fear she “was dying”. She weighed 28 stone at the time and with the regular gym sessions and diet overhaul, she’s managed to drop 11 stone down to 17.

“I had to lose weight because I was dying,” she told co-host Dermot O’Leary a few weeks ago. “People will still say I’m big, but now I’m 17 stone rather than 28 stone and I’m comfortable with telling you my weight.”
But even if Alison doesn’t end up walking down the aisle with David, our source says as she approaches a milestone birthday in February, she’s determined to stay on the right path.
“It’s not all about how she looks, she’s 50 soon and knows she had to get fitter and she’s so pleased and proud of the results,” they claimed. “She is the healthiest and fittest she’s ever been and has done it sensibly, and she wants to show off her new figure at any opportunity.”
Well, we think you look fabulous Alison!
