Chloe Madeley has opened up about the struggless her celebrity parents, Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, have weathered throughout their 39-year marriage. The dynamic duo, who sparked a connection while working at ITV Granada Television back in the ’80s, sealed their love with marriage in 1986 and subsequently soared to fame as a television power couple.
Their daughter Chloe, a fitness guru, previously opened up on her parents’ bond, following her split from former rugby star James Haskell as of October 2023. In a chat with Closer magazine, Chloe divulged the simple yet profound wisdom imparted by her parents: “They would honestly say the same thing – that the secret to them having such a long marriage is to not get divorced.”

She continued, reflecting on the resilience of their partnership: “They’ve been together for over 40 years and during that time there have been periods where they have really struggled, but they kept going and stayed together. I don’t think it was ever bad enough for them to split.”, reports the Daily Record.
In a heartfelt tribute, Chloe lauded her parents for setting an exemplary marital benchmark, admitting she “really hit the jackpot” when it came to her family life.
Chloe credits Richard and Judy’s unwavering commitment to their children’s well-being as the cornerstone of their parenting philosophy.
Chloe has openly admitted that despite her initial hopes for her marriage to James, it became “clearer and clearer” that it wasn’t meant to be. The couple, who share daughter Bodhi together, were faced with the decision of whether to “stay together and be unhappy” or separate.
She revealed that they ultimately decided parting ways was the best course of action. She also revealed she was open to starting a new relationship, but admitted she is a “lazy romantic” who wants a partner to simply enjoy TV and wine with.
She confessed there were times when she feels it “would be nice to be with someone”, but while Chloe is open to finding love again, she says her current focus is on Bodhi and her fitness business.
